New Zealand Travelogue | Otira Viaduct Lookout

The next stop we made was at the Otira Viaduct Lookout. It's just a small lookout point where you can see, well, the Otira Viaduct. We never see such things in Singapore so although it isn't a must-do, if you're passing through the area, there is no harm stopping by to snap a quick picture of two before moving on with your journey.

It started raining when we were driving along this stretch of the highway so we whipped up the hoods and went out to take some pictures.

If you stop at the lookout point, you may come into encounter with the Kea birds. There were quite a few walking around when we were there and apparently they are really smart so don't try to mess around with them! Also, one thing to note when you're in NZ is that you should never feed the wildlife, so you'll see a lot of signs everywhere warning against feeding them.

(Got to love that humongous pimple on my cheek! I was breaking out pretty badly then. Boo.)
