Hong Kong Travelogue // Day 4
There's this little coffee place just round the corner of our apartment, near the MTR station and what I love about this place is that they place this black board outside, and change the wordings on it every single day. All of the wordings have relevance to coffee but they dare to write the funniest sayings on it. While we didn't actually enter the cafe to buy coffee, I really appreciate the humour in the messages.

Hong Kong Travelogue // Day 3
On our third day in Hong Kong, we decided to go to Teakha which is famous for the large selection of teas that they offer. It was pretty close to out apartment so we just walked over. I really liked how they incorporated a lot of wood into their design of the whole place. I'm a huge sucker for wood furnishings.

Hong Kong Travelogue // Day 2
On our second day in Hong Kong, the first thing we did was to travel out to have dimsum at the famous Tim Ho Wan. I've had Tim Ho Wan once in Singapore and I wasn't too impressed with the food there because I felt that the selection was really limited (I went there for supper so that may be one of the reasons why) and for the price, the food just wasn't any special at all. I actually think that the dimsum at Swee Choon is a lot better than Tim Ho Wan's and that's really saying a lot because we all know that Swee Choon doesn't serve the best dimsum at all.

Hong Kong Travelogue // Day 1
Hong Kong has never been a destination that I wanted to travel to, simply because I've heard so many bad things about the place. I've heard that the service there is really bad, that Hong Kong people are very rude, that the whole place is old and dirty, and everything there is expensive. Basically, nothing sounded good about Hong Kong, even the food because I don't eat seafood and when people talk about good dimsum, it is usually with reference to seafood.
To be perfectly honest, I wasn't looking forward to this trip at all and there were a few times I actually thought about backing out and cancelling it because I just didn't want to spend money in a place I wasn't sure I would enjoy. But I knew that would be really mean to my other 2 friends so ultimately I stuck with the plans and went. There were good things that really surprised me about Hong Kong, and well, there were the bad things as well but we'll talk about them in good time.
We flew by Scoot which was surprisingly the best budget airlines I've ever taken! The seats were really comfortable (even better than the horrible Silkair) and I slept like a baby throughout the the whole duration of the flight.

#1098: Korea day 1 // Travelling to Korea, Breakfast in Hongkong, Paris Baguette & Travelling to Jeju
Everyone knows that I've been working REALLY hard and saving up just for my graduation trip to Korea with my two best girls and I was so psyched to finally have this dream come true!
I still remember how even till the day we were supposed to leave, we kept saying how it seemed like just yesterday that we started buying the air tickets and looking for guesthouses…. HEH.
Majorly excited here because we deserve this trip after slogging in school for 3 years and we're all finally done with everything hehe.
