Bangkok Travelogue // Greyhound Cafe, Petite Audrey, Coffee Beans by Dao & Street Food

For our second day in BKK, we decided to go cafe hopping! I've heard so many good things about the cafes in BKK and since I don't usually have the time to cafe hop in Singapore, I thought, why not do it in BKK instead?

After waking up super early to shop at Pratunam Morning Market, and then having a nap in the hotel, we woke up starving and way too ready for lunch.

The first cafe we went to was Greyhound Cafe at Siam Centre.

I've set a limit of 2 items per cafe so that we can hop to as many as we can haha. There were so many cafes I wanted to try out!

Complimentary bun with butter~

The first item we ordered was the Greyhound Famous Chicken Wings (130 baht). Deep dried marinated mini chicken wings in fish sauce

This was goooood, deep fried to perfection. I just wish they gave more because the portion was tiny for the price we paid!

The second item we ordered was the Fresh Lasagna Salad (180 baht). Layers of crispy romaine leaves, olives, tomato, pasta and Parmesan, served with thick tomato dressing

I thought this was a really interesting dish because they basically deconstructed a lasagna and served it in a salad form.

After we settled the bill, they even gave us a free bottle of water. How cool is that?!

For desserts, we headed to Petite Audrey which is also conveniently located in Siam Center as well. Petite Audrey is famous for their crepe cakes and oh my word, the decor of the whole cafe made me feel like I was a princess!

Even the menus look amazing.

The first crepe cake we ordered was the Thai Tea Crepe Cake (110 baht).

While I thought this was a really interesting idea, and I happen to love cha yen, I got sick of it really quickly. The thai tea taste was just a tad too gelat for both SH and I.

On the other hand, the Milo Volcano Crepe Cake (125 baht) was really decent! I love milo so this was really good without being too gelat. Definitely give this cake a try if you're at Petite Audrey.

Lastly, we went to Coffee Beans by Dao for some coffee. I've hear loads of good stuff about the coffee there so I was pretty excited to grab some for myself.

I opted the Ice Latte and I believe SH opted for the Ice Holicks. The coffee was soooo smooth. I'm not a huge fan of coffee but I was really impressed with how good the coffee here was!

After hanging around Siam Paragon and Siam Square, we decided to head back to our hotel for dinner.

I told SH about the pretty good and decently priced street food outside our hotel so that was where we went~

We ordered a bottle of Leo Beer to share and can you believe that this only costs 75 baht?! Crazy right! That's like about $3 only for a huge bottle.

I really liked Leo Beer because it was really light, not at all bitter.

We ordered Fried Morning Glory with Oyster Sauce (70 baht),  Fried Vermicelli with Egg (80 baht), Chicken with Cashew Nuts (100 baht) and a plate of rice to share.

Can you believe this whole meal, including the beer, costs like around $13 only? In Singapore, the bottle of beer alone would probably cost more than this whole meal already.

We actually did more than just eat but because I didn't bother whipping out my camera to take photos of what we were doing, it pretty much seems as though all we did was eat.

Food in BKK is really affordable if you're not looking at going to restaurants or going to cafes because the prices of food and drinks in cafes there is the same as in SG which is quite crazy actually.

But honestly, $13 for 2 people.... Insane!
