#1117: Korea Day 7 // Exploring Bukhansan, Cafe Bene, Fried Chicken & Ramen

Day 7 in Korea~~~~

Main activity of the day: Climb Bukhansan.

We woke up really early and had breakfast in our guesthouse. Korea's guesthouses usually provide the basics such as eggs, juice, bread, jam, tea and coffee.

Bukhansan National Park

Address:
Mangwol-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do

Getting there:
1. Bukhansan National Park
Gireum Station (Subway Line 4), Exit 3.
Take Bus 110B or 143 and get off at the last bus stop.

2. Bukhansanseong Fortress
Gupabal Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 1.
Take Bus 704 bound for Bukhansanseong Fortress.
Get off at the Bukhansan Mountain entrance bus stop.

3. Dobong Area
Mangwolsa Station (Subway Line 1)
Walk 10 min to arrive at the Dobang management office of Bukhansan National Park

After hiking around aimlessly because we pretty much got lost, we came to a clearing where we found some hugeass hullahoops.

One thing about hiking around Bukhansan is that I think you need a guide with you.

We had a map with us but it was useless because there weren't much landmarks around us to pinpoint where we were. Also, there were a lot of side trails that looked like main hiking trails so that didn't help as well.

We made our way up to the Cloud Observatory and caught an amazing view of Seoul.

We managed to make it down the mountain before it started raining and we decided to go to Myeong-dong for some more shopping and to Cafe Bene for some good caramel cinnamon honey bread.

I'm not a fan of cinnamon but this toast was really good.

We had patbingsu as well but it wasn't as good as Homilbat :'(

Went back to our guesthouse and ordered in because we were too lazy to go out.
