On our fourth day in Korea, we set out to explore Noryangjin Fish Market. On my pervious 2 trips to Korea, I've always planned it into my itinerary but we always gave it a miss because we either didn't have enough time, or there were other things we wanted to do more. So this time round, we took it upon ourselves to wake up early and finally make our way over.
I woke up to this amazing view from our Airbnb apartment! I love Seoul so much :>
One amazing thing about the Korean subway and something I can appreciate as a Singaporean is the fact that we can eat and drink in the station and on the trains. I can understand why Singapore doesn't allow us to do so but I find it fascinating how food and drinks are allowed in the subway and stations but the whole place is still super clean. Singaporeans, can we up our game?
Photo proof of having drinks on the train; something only Singaporeans can fully appreciate.
Finally made our way to Noryangjin! We barely explored the fish market because all the sellers were really pushy but to fully appreciate the place, please check our my vlog! (Video linked at the end of this post!)
We walked along a few of the stalls then picked a random one and ordered some seafood from the lady. I don't eat seafood so I was pretty much prepared to not eat anything there at all.
Basically what happens if that you go up to buy whatever seafood you want, then the stall owners will bring you to a restaurant where they will prepare the seafood in the way you want it to be. I believe we bought 1 king prawn, half a fish, and a few more bits and bobs then went down to have it prepared for us. To be honest, I didn't enjoy this meal at all because everything was super fishy and I didn't eat most of the seafood. But we paid maybe $100-$150 for the little bit of seafood we got and the meal itself which wasn't even worth it at all. None of us were full and the price was just insane considering we weren't even full after that.
Go to Noryangjin for the experience but be prepared to be ripped off haha.

How to get here:
1. Noryangjin Station, Exit 1
2. Walk across the overhead bridge to the market.
After that, we headed over to Express Bus Terminal to do clothes shopping! Express Bus Terminal is my ultimate favourite place to shop at for clothes in Seoul because they have an amazing array of shops there from clothes to accessories to bags and even household items and furniture. And for the clothes, they generally range from 5,000-15,000 KRW and the items priced there are probably cheaper than identical items found anywhere else including at Sinchon/Ewha Womans University Shopping Street and Hongdae. It's amazing. I love that place.
We also stopped by one of the eateries at one end of the shopping arcade for lunch and we got Korean food for lunch! It's pretty obvious which one mine is. My love for curry knows no ends~
From the top, in a clockwise direction, we ordered rice topped with vegetables (6,500 KRW), rice topped with fish eggs in a hot pot (7,500 KRW), rice topped with curry (6,000 KRW) and fried rice with spam and kimchi (6,500 KRW).

After shopping like crazy for a good 3-4 hours, we popped back home for a rest and to pick up my dad before heading out for dinner. I picked up this amazing yuzu drink from Coffee Prince (which is right beside the building our Airbnb apartment is in). Yuzu drinks have been my ultimate favourite during this trip and I've been drinking one cup from different cafes almost every single day because they are citrusy and so refreshing to have especially when you need a little pick-me-up.
Caught the sun setting while we were in our apartment!
We went to Myeongdong to have really good gamjatang which is essentially pork bone and potato soup. My sister recommended this place! I don't know the English translation for the name, neither do I know the actual name of this place but I took a photo of the signboard just in case any one wants to know!
We ordered the pork bone & potato soup in the size "big" (35,000 KRW).
It was sooo good guys. I love soup so anything with soup tastes so good in my books. After dinner, we walked over to Happy Lemon for some bubble tea. I cannot live without bubble tea. It's the ultimate sweet treat for me in Singapore and I always crave bubble tea when I'm out of Singapore. So glad my sister brought us over to have this cup :>
We started off our 5th day in Seoul by heading to Isaac Toast for breakfast. We woke up so early that the streets in Hongdae were practically empty. I've never seen Hongdae this empty, ever, and I stayed at Hongdae all 3 times that I went to Seoul.
Isaac Toast serves really good toast and they taste exactly like burgers, but with white bread instead of well buns. Every time I post a photo of my sandwich from Isaac, some one comments saying that they love Isaac as well.
I can't remember which sandwich I ordered exactly but here's a photo of the menu if it helps!
The only touristy thing we did in Seoul this time round was to visit Namsangol Hanok Village. We've done most of the top 10-20 touristy things to do in Seoul already so in an attempt to do something else beside eating and shopping, I went to find another traditional village (we've already been to Bukchon Hanok) to explore.
I basically just sat around with my siblings while mum went around exploring the whole place. She's a lot more into history and traditional buildings than we are. Also, since I've already visited other villages, I didn't find this as fascinating as she did.

I haven't dyed my hair for over a year and I originally intended to get my ends dyed over but the hair stylist decided against it so we basically dyed my whole head without touching the roots. I really love this hair colour on me! Should I get my roots done to the same colour again or should I go for a new colour this time?
We grabbed some street food to appease my growling stomach and then set off to explore Edae. My mum and brother went off first because they didn't want to wait for us for 4 hours while we got our hair done. Then we ended off the night with Korean food in a random eatery we walked past. We both got ramen because ramen is life in Korea.
Here's the vlog for these 2 days, I hope you enjoy it! :>
