Garosu-gil, translated literally means "tree-lined streets" and although there are definitely many "tree-lined streets" in Seoul, one of the most famous ones would have to be the one in Sinsa-dong. Not only is it a lovely promenade amidst the city, but it indulges extraordinary cultural and imaginative tastes.
The exhibit of open studios, cafes, restaurants, ateliers, bars, and fashion shops, mixes together forming a trendy cityscape. While different streets in Gangnam are said to be fancy and modern, Garosu-gil displays an intriguing blend of the old and the new, the chicness of modern city life and the spirit of days that have passed. Some people assert that Garosu-gil takes after Soho, New York; others compare it to an European street.
Garosu-gil grasps a more global mentality while saving Korean sentiments. It is a perfect spot for going on a date, hanging out with friends, taking pictures, and film-production. Garosu-gil will dazzle you id you like to walk, have some tea, or simple poke around.
