Been to Cameron Highlands last Wednesday to Sunday and I had a pretty awesome time with my family, even though there wasn't much to be done there to be honest.
Flight took off at 8.30am which meant that I had to be out of the house by 6.30am. That's even earlier than the time I wake up for school.
Our destination was an airport on the outskirts of KL, which actually is like halfway in between KL and Malacca. Awesome huh.
That meant a 4 hour journey by coach into Cameron Highlands.
Had something to bite at the airport from delifrance cuz lunch would be about 2 plus? (It was 9 plus when we reached KL.)
Thank goodness for the movies we played during the journey if not I'll definitely be majorly bored.
We watched Ip man and 2012!
Stopped for lunch and whilst the rest headed to the coffee shop, my family had kfc!
The burgers were RIDICULOUSLY small. AND, they served chicken with chicken rice. Cool not.

Proceeded with the journey and the outside view turned from this...
To this...
Stayed at Hotel de la Ferns and it wasn't all that awesome. It's pretty small with NO facilities whatsoever. NO SWIMMING POOL OK. There goes my intent to work on my tan while I'm on vacation.
-insert sigh-
But my room was pretty huge. Prolly cuz it was for 6 pax.
(This is my cousin's family's room btw.)
Dinner time after we settled down and we had steamboat! Sadly enough, I don't eat seafood so I mainly chomped on veggies and whatever non-sea food there was.
Indulged in dessert, Chocolate brownie topped with whipped cream and ice cream! Totally sinful but just. so. good. Period.
Breakfast the next day (and for the next 4 days) was at the hotel.
We went down early to camwhore a lil before we headed off. Mum's idea.

First stop for the day, Boh tea centre where we got to see how tea was collected, and what not.
Our mode of transport was mini vans! We hired 2 of them.
Next stop was some small strawberry farm.
We weren't even allowed to pick strawberries la -_- They said there was too many tourists and if everyone wanted to pluck strawberries, there weren't be enough strawberries for everyone.
Best thing was that the strawberries were mad small.
Next was some rose centre where it basically was a big flower garden and we went in to admire flowers.
Interesting...
My whole table decided to try the hotel restaurant's western food that night. What can I say, every thing is terribly over priced and not that fantastic.
Soup was awesome though.
#3rd day.
Took a look at the old smoke house which is mad famous apparently. Anyone of you heard of this place before??
Anyway according to my parents, my brother celebrated his 1st birthday here. And every one (aunties) totally went on and on and onnnnn about it, and I agreed with my brother when he said that the way they talked about it was as though he was some dead legacy.
Give it a rest folks!
Off to more tea plantations after that.
Then to some farm which uses water instead of soil to grow crops.
I forgot what the name of that type of farm is called.
Lunch at the same place as the day before. Sambal kang kong here was a total disappointment. My uncle said so himself.
Went window shopping around the town of Brinchang, there wasn't anything actually.
Back to the hotel once again to rest before dinner.
Oh dinner that night was steamboat again, so I didn't bother taking pictures.
Next day we went to the old smoke house for tea. Walked there instead of taking the mini van.
The food there was alright, but overpriced, like WAY overpriced.
And the service plan sucked. We asked for a table outside and the waitress kept on insisting that the table outside wasn't big enough as compared to the table inside. So we said we would split tables cuz outside was much brighter but she just ignored us and continued setting up the table inside. So we just all marched out and crowded around the table outside, forcing her to set up the table. Wtf right?
There are other stories that happened the SAME day but I shall not touch on them here. VERY turn off seriously. You would expect impeccable service from the staff considering the outrageous price we were paying for the food there.
But nooooooooo.
Took a walk around the gardens after tea (even though we weren't exactly allowed to.)
Back to the hotel after that, then dinner!
Totally kept on spamming food throughout the trip. I'll stuff myself silly during meal times and then complain about being hungry an hour or two later. I don't know why but the environment there just makes me feel so hungry.
But thank goodness I did NOT gain any weight after I came back.
Aww, last dinner here!
Last day!
Stopped off at some natural waterfall on our trip down the mountains/hills/whatever Cameron Highlands is.
There was this bunch of um, school-going girls (I think?) sitting and playing in the water and you would think they were in primary school until you looked closer and realize that their ages are pretty close to mine. Yet they were totally alaf-ing.
Headed to Times Square in KL for some lunch then shopping.
Speaking about shopping there wasn't enough time ok. Like we had 1 hour in a hugeass shopping mall which is bigger than Vivo. How to shop you tell me??
We speed-shopped like 5 mins in a shop.
Walk in, look around, walk out.
DID NOT BUY ANYTHING.
And this was the part of the trip I was looking forward to la. Sian max.
My sister bought this pink dog though. Its eyes pop out when you squeeze it.
Home sweet home afterwards.
D came over to stay cuz I really missed him. Heehee. Best bf ever.
