I love staycations, because there simply isn't enough time to properly enjoy a trip out of Singapore if you're only going to stay for a day at a hotel.
And with staycations, I get to be in my comfort zone still 'cuz I'm in my own country, but yet take a break from real life to just chill and be.
So last Saturday, I was super psyched when I got to have a staycation at Wanderlust, a hotel I've been wanting to stay in for ages!
Hehe super psyched because I had the most horrible 3 weeks in late October/early November and had countless datelines to meet.
Was so stressed out that I just needed a break from the real world and I'm super glad that this stay cation was timely!
Even the lobby area is pretty, with quirky furniture!
After checking in, it's time to head up to our room!
We booked the Whimsical Tree House themed room!
My home for the night hehe.
Have I mentioned my love for lofts?
I loved Studio M because it was so cosy and I loved the fact that the bed was on the second floor!
And this room didn't disappoint me either ^^
Only down side to this room was the fact that the stairs were super steep! It was almost like climbing a ladder and if you're as scared of heights as I was, then it's a challenging task indeed.
Fake leaves on the ceiling, makes the perfect view for the last thing I see at night and the first thing I woke up to in the morning ^^
And I was super psyched there was a bathtub too! Yay to hot baths!
Outdoor jacuzzi which was disappointing 'cuz it wasn't heated up at all :(
Studied in the room for a while because one does not simply go for a staycation and not study if you're an NBS student.
Then we changed and headed out for the night!
Had dinner at the Screen Bar at Hotel Rendezvous and the food was alright.
I loved the mushroom soup!
Then off for drinks afterwards.
Heh.
And as if drinking at the bar wasn't enough, we bought back more drinks for the night.
Super pretty car we saw in the car park!
Had a soak in the bath tub with alcohol by the side heh.
Don't remember much of the night except for the fact that all of us drank and made merry heh.
Woke up early in the morning, feeling semi-hungover boohoo but yay to breakfast!
I love western breakfasts with orange juice and some toast and butter, with eggs, bacon, sausages and the works.
Ended off our meal with a cup of tea because we can.
It was an amazing staycation and it's just what I needed to recharge and continue my fight!
No more distractions till my finals are over!
