The Udder Pancake

So... Did you know that Udders did pancakes? I didn't.

Nearly a month ago (lol am so late with my updates but what's new?!), my friends decided to plan a day full of surprises to celebrate an early birthday for me because they knew how much I loved surprises. Basically, I only knew that we were doing one out of three things/places, but I only knew because I had to prepare for it.

The first place they brought me to was The Udder Pancake brought to you by Udders, you know the ice cream place? Amazing right?! I was so impressed with the whole place and most of my friends who saw my snapchats (@YiQingggg) asked me where I was.

The whole place is filled with "In Case Of xxx Break Glass" and they were really innovative about it! Let me show you some examples.

I really liked the Nagging one because I know some one who loves to nag at me >.>

Anyone who loves to play L4D definitely knows where to go to grab a weapon in the case of a zombie attack :>

Ahhh, what were you thinking? ;)

Besides the really innovative decor, they had a pretty impressive selection of food items and we were spoilt for choice.

Honestly, most of us have seen savoury waffles but how about savoury pancakes?

Here's a glimpse of the menu...

Both of them whispering away as they discussed the itinerary for the day.

The first thing we ordered was Salted Egg Yolk Fries ($9.90). How good does that both look and sound?

Golden thick cut crispy fries topped with salted egg yolk sauce, crispy curry leaves, chili flakes & toasted butter sugar cereal.

If you're a huge fan of all things with salted egg, I say this is a definite must try. The taste of the salted egg yolk was just right - not too salty - and the fries weren't soggy at all. All in all, I really enjoyed this dish and couldn't get enough of it!

For their pancakes, you get a choice of ordering either half (1 poached egg on 2 pancakes) or full (2 poached eggs on 4 pancakes) and for the next item, the girls ordered a half order of Salmon, Crab & Caviar Egg Benedict ($16.90) because I didn't eat any of the toppings except for the poached egg itself.

Poached egg with citrus hollandaise, smoked salmon, crab claw meat and ebiko slaw on grilled cheddar cheese pancakes. Topped with lumpfish caviar and fresh dill. Served with fresh greens.

I can't give my two cents worth because I didn't try it but I heard it's one of their more popular choices!

Our last main was a full order of Pulled Pork Egg Benedict ($17.90) and this tasted just heavenly.

Poached egg with paprika hollandaise on bourbon barbecue pulled pork collar, on grilled cheddar cheese pancakes, topped with crispy bacon rashers and chopped chives. Served with fresh greens.

Despite not being the biggest fan of pork, the meat here was so soft and tender and filled with so much flavour. Adding bacon on top sealed the deal.

I am definitely coming back for more of this.

This is definitely a must-go place if you're in the area, even if you're only there to explore all the "In Case Of" boxes because they are so innovative!

If you're looking for ice cream, then fret not because half of the space is dedicated to the usual Udders ice cream and the other half to Udder Pancake.
