#948: New Year Resolutions

Everyone's been talking about new year resolutions and this year's probably the first year in a while that I didn't bother to think of any. I hardly ever remember my resolutions the week after I make them so what's the point of even making some up?

But I guess there are merits in making up some goals for the new year, even if it's to give you something to aim for and so........

Here are some of the, if not typical, new year resolutions I will try my best to keep this year!
(I'm going to write them in my planner to remind myself of them whenever I open my book!)

My 2013 New Year Resolutions

The top of my list will definitely be to eat more healthily.
I'm a lover for unhealthy fried food and late-night suppers (as can be seen from all the food pictures I've posted on my Instagram). I'm an even bigger lover for all things sweet. I snack on sweets ALL THE TIME, as I do with sweet sweet drinks. Milk tea being the one drink I would kill for, especially in Singapore's hot hot weather.

So this year, I aim to eat (and drink) more healthily, to stay off fried food, spicy food, and sweet drinks.

To be more frugal in my spendings.
I don't earn a lot, and I am definitely not from a rich family where I can spend as much as I please.
I don't usually spend a lot as well but when the holidays hit me, I go crazy with my shopping sprees which do a helluva damage to my bank account. I literally wince whenever I see how bad the damage is.
And what's worst is that my spending habits have an impact on Wq as well because I love to spend ridiculous amounts on good food and Wq being the person I bring along to eat with, it hurts his bank account as well, though not as much as mine because he definitely doesn't shop as much.
But, although he is usually frugal in his ways, he definitely does not spare any expense at getting me what I want (see our trip to USS and the anniversary gifts he got for me).

Thus, I aim to start cutting back on my lavish spendings on stuff I do not need and to go for food that are cheaper and more value for money. 

To not stray away from my skin care routine.
Skin care is so so important and I cannot emphasize just how important it is. Especially to someone with my horrible complexion. 
I need to stop being lazy to do anything more than washing my face at Wq's because my skin care won't just apply itself on my face as I sit on the bed with a book in my hand.
And I've been neglecting all my scrubs and masks just because I've been too lazy to do them.

No more, I shall be a good girl and stick to my skin care routine! My face will not heal itself without some help! (And prayers to God of course.)

To be more consistent in my school work.
I honestly have been working much harder at my school work the past year but hey, there's always room for improvement right?
And I'm so glad that my girls are back in SG to work hard with me! It definitely makes it less of a hassle and a more fun thing to do when you're with your besties!

And I guess I shall just stick to this for now because I do not want to scare myself with a whole list of things that are hard to achieve. Baby steps, and I'll get there eventually!
