Lola's Cafe

I've wanted to try Lola's Cafe for the loooooongest time. I've heard so much good stuff about the food there and it's really near to where I stay which is really convenient! The past 2 times that SH and I went there, the waiting time was an hour so we decided to give it a miss and head elsewhere. One Sunday, we decided to just pop by to see if the waiting time was still ridiculously long and we were pleasantly surprise to get a table in only 10 minutes.

If there is one thing that's not that good about Lola's, I would say it's probably the fact that the cafe is really small, and there isn't much seating space so most of the tables were cramped side by side. I certainly didn't enjoy having my personal space encroached by another couple!

Despite the fact that the cafe was pretty crowded, I was happy to note that the drinks and food came pretty quickly. For drinks, SH ordered the Peach, Raspberry and Apple Juice ($6). I took a sip of this and didn't really like it. It just tasted like normal bottled juice.

I ordered my usual cup of Iced Latte ($5.50) and the coffee was pretty smooth! I just needed to add a wee bit of sugar syrup and I was good to go.

We ordered their Nachos Cheese Fries ($8) and it was soooo good. Fries, cheese sauce & spices.

I honestly think it's the best cheese fries I've had. They gave just the right amount of cheese (although I definitely won't say no to more cheese) and the spice they used tasted delicious. I don't know what the spice is but it makes the fries slightly spicy but not too much so. Just look at all the cheesy goodness.

One of the recommended dishes from their brunch menu is the Lola's Full Monty Breakfast ($16). Brioche Bread, Pork Sausages, Honey Bacons, Pork Ham, Hollandaise Sauce, Garden Salad & Balsamic Dressing.

I wanted to order this but since SH decided to get it, I opted for something else. It still looks really good doesn't it? I love myself some Western breakfast so definitely get this if you're craving for a full Western breakfast.

Another recommended dish is their Breakfast Butter Croissant ($14) which I got instead of the full monty breakfast. Butter Croissant, Scrambled Eggs, Pork Ham, Honey Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Honey Mayo, Garden Salad & Balsamic Dressing.

This. Was. The. Bomb. This was soooo good. The croissant was toasted perfectly with all the goodness of a Western breakfast packed inside. I think the only difference between the full monty breakfast and this is the fact that mine comes with a croissant while the full monty breakfast comes with a sausage. I can do without the sausage though heh.

Decided to scrap all thoughts of going out in favour of a movie marathon at home so that was what we did. I'm doing the Harry Potter movie marathon and I'm done with the 5th movie haha. 3 more to go!

Thank you for being my favourite partner in crime, and my favourite person to explore with. Love you my one and only SH to my YQ.
