I'm so sorry I haven't updated this space in a bit. I've been so busy with work and school and everything that it's quite hard to keep blogging as frequently as I used to when I was more free.
But I promise that I'll have loads of pictures up here because Wq and I had a mini staycation to celebrate his birthday! Will do that post up as soon as I can ok?
In the mean time, I've got photos from last Sunday when we celebrated Wq's birthday with his friends.
So the day started with breakfast at the coffeeshop.
Haven't eaten fishball noodles ever since Wq left so I was so glad that I managed to eat this ^^
I think it takes really little to make me happy! The way to my heart is honestly through my stomach which is why Wq always pampers me when he's free to do so by bringing me all around Singapore for good food hehe.
And because it started to rain, he decided to drive me to church ^^
Met him at Ion after church 'cuz my sis wanted to go to Ion to grab some stuff.
He turned up with a whole new hair cut and I got a shock 'cuz like I thought he dressed till quite punk rocker? (I know my definition of a punk rocker is probably incorrect but I just don't know how else to describe how he looks like......)
(He was queueing up to buy mashed potato from Popeyes for me btw hehe, 'cuz I was hungry!)
After shopping around (at about 630pm or so), he started saying stuff like "Why don't we eat Popeyes for dinner? Why must go Saveur?)
I guess I've got to explain a bit here.
See, the day before he came back, two Fridays ago, JT and I planned a surprise party for Wq and Mich (a girl from his clique) and basically what would happen is that I would bring him to Saveur and the rest will surprise him by being there because Wq was supposed to think that it would only be the two of us.
But my plan failed 'cuz they talked about the venue and time in the wa conversation and while charging my phone for me, Wq saw the conversation :(
He didn't say anything at all though till about 630pm when he knew we were expected at Saveur so he kept saying stuff to force me to admit that there was supposed to be a gathering.
So mean right? I was trying so hard to plan a surprise for him and he ruined it by looking at my phone :( SIGH.
But anyway we managed to get to Saveur by 7 ish and we met his friends there!
Wq and I ordered some duck dish and I thought it was really good!
The duck meat was so soft it came off the bone really easily and the mashed potato was heavenly (though not as good as Popeyes still!)
What youths typically do these days before eating....
Yes, ALL of us starting taking photos hehe.
After that we went to Wimbly Lu for desserts!
Because Wq and I are familiar with the place, we reached a good 30 minutes earlier than the rest who drove down in a separate car.

Despite working at WL for the past 4 months, I've never stepped in as a customer before and it was my first time being one!
Feels so good being on the other side as a customer instead of the one who's busy running around and preparing desserts and drinks!
Wq and I ordered a root beer cake to share ^^
I know I've said this a lot of times (and I'm gna say it again in later posts), happy belated birthday little one! I hope you enjoyed my (failed) surprise gathering for you!
