HELLO BABIES, guess who's a FREE BIRD NOW??? ^^

YES! Hello freedom!

And to mark this happy happy day, the first thing I did after I reached home, is to turn on my laptop to blog out this post because I promised I would keep this blog updated once I'm free!

So yes let's start.

Last Saturday, the initial plan was to head to U-Town to study with Esther but she felt tired and she decided to head home to nap first so the boy and I were free to make new plans.

Went to get breakfast at the coffee shop near his place ^^

And since the boy needed to run some errands, off we went!

Stopped by the bike show room hehe.

Guess who's on a super pretty white Vespa?? ^^

And here I am, with my pink helmet!

Sitting on a Vespa's so much more comfortable than sitting on a sports bike honestly! The seat alone is so much softer than the pillion seat for the boy's bike. 

Super duper tempted to get a 2b license so I can ride a pretty white Vespa ^^

Since I needed to study for my finals, the boy brought me into NYP (his previous school) to study. Hehe, sneaked in without a matric card! 

Oh and I borrowed his watch to wear, Kenneth Cole!

He doesn't even use the watch at all 'cuz he has a nicer one...

We stayed there to study till about 4-ish before heading to Bishan for a late lunch! Managed to convince him to go to Pepper Lunch ^^

I am so amazed!

I've always been eating at normal Pepper Lunch (PL)  outlets, like the ones at Hougang Mall or at AMK Hub because the boy said he doesn't like eating at PL Express (bad service/bad food I think?)

BUT.

When I studied with Esther and my sis last week, we went to the food court at the top level of Bishan for lunch and I ate at the PL Express there and boy oh boy was I surprised.

Not only is the price so much cheaper (like 1/3 cheaper), they also served a bowl of miso soup FOC with your rice! Also, the servings were of the same size as normal PL outlets.

 I am NEVER going back to the outlets at AMK or HG anymore, they cheat money!

I can haz nice pepper rice for a cheaper price now!

After lunch, we went back to the boy's place. Only ventured out pass 12am for supper!

He brought me to have dimsum at Wen Dao Shi!

We ordered SO MUCH food that I was so painfully full at the end. I was so grumpy as well because it HURT.

And we didn't even manage to finish all the food which is crazy because the boy's a huge eater and he usually finishes his portion, AND my portion, and still has space for extra food!

Not sure what this is called but we ordered this thinking it was spring rolls. It ended up being filled with some custard-like thing. 

Not that nice to  be honest.

Mini carrot cake!

This dish was super good, definitely will order it again if we go back there.

But don't be fooled by the pictures, these aren't normal-sized carrot cake, they're super mini, the kind that can fit in your mouth whole!

This should be chee cheong fan (I'm sorry I'm really bad with food names, especially when they're in chinese but I'll do my best!)

Super meh and oily tasting :(

Siew Mai!

Was so disappointed that it had seafood inside :(

Took a small bite and had to force myself to swallow it down 'cuz there was prawn.

I miss siew mais which don't have seafood!

The boy's Ha Gao.

He says that he will order this again so I assume that it's quite good.

Didn't try it 'cuz it obviously has seafood inside!

Char Shao Bao.

My favourite type of baos! I thought they were so-so only, definitely too much of the bao.

Lor Mai Kai for me and Fan Choy for the boy!

I thought the lor mai kai was not bad but I didn't like the fact that they put the whole chicken, bones and all, in.

I prefer the types where it's pure meat with no bones.

Lastly, century egg porridge!

This was my favourite dish but it came so late that I was so filled up with the other food and I didn't manage to enjoy it at all :(

But the porridge was so tasty, even when I didn't eat any of the other food inside like the century egg.

Definitely one of must-try dishes ^^

YES, so imagine all that for only 2 people, and best of all, I'm quite a small eater!

We were so crazy full that the only thing I could do was head back home to sleep :(

And that's how I spent my Saturday!
